Forms of Payment
Q: Besides Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card, what other types of payments do you accept?
A: Besides Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card, we accept checks and money orders. For security reasons we do not accept cash. When paying by check or money order, we will need to have the payment in hand before we can set your appointment. Please have the check/money order written to: The Preble Law Firm. For identification purposes, please make sure to write your name in the memo part of the check (usually located at the bottom left hand side of checks - but no need to do so if name is printed on the check). If paying by money order, please write your name in the "Purchaser" area of the money order.
Q: How do you handle a refund of a "good faith fee" or a "legal options consultation fee"?
A: In the event that an appointment fee is approved for a refund, if the appointment fee was paid by credit card, there is a five percent (5%) refund fee administrative charge that will be deducted from the amount paid, the adjusted amount will be credited back to the same credit card used when the appointment was set. If the appointment fee was paid by check or money order, once the amount is posted to our business account, we will refund the amount paid less a five percent (5%) administrative fee. Our firm may be able to issue a refund by check within five working days after the date posted in our business account.
