Attorney Stephen P. Lin graduated from The University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 1998. He received his undergraduate degree in East Asian studies, graduating with distinction in the major and magna cum laude from Yale University in 1995. Mr. Lin was admitted to the California State Bar in June 1999. Prior to joining the Preble Law Firm in June 2007, Mr. Lin worked at several prominent international law firms in the Bay Area and abroad, where he assisted clients with corporate transactional work, litigation, and estate planning. He began his legal career in Hong Kong, where he practiced for two years, before returning to California in the year 2000. He has represented clients in Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco and Santa Clara Superior Courts. He is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. Mr. Lin is fluent in Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese, and proficient in Spanish. In his spare time, Mr. Lin enjoys politics, and serves on the board of the Chinese American Political Association, a local non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the awareness and participation of Asian Americans in the political process. Mr. Lin resides with his family in Lafayette, California.
