Zachary R. Rayo

Mr. Rayo joined The Preble Law Firm as an Associate Attorney in April, 2007.
Born and raised in the Philippines, he is a graduate of the University of the Philippines, where he graduated magna cum laude and as class valedictorian of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
He pursued his Juris Doctor law degree at the University of Hawaii School of Law where he distinguished himself by attaining the highest grades in Intellectual Property Law and Sales Law, and where he was awarded the Bureau of National Affairs Student Award in 1996. While in law school, he was a summer intern at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and took summer courses in International Economic Law at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
After receiving his law degree in May 1996, Mr. Rayo clerked for a Circuit Court judge in Maui, Hawaii, and then relocated to the Philippines to work in the intellectual property department of a national law firm as a visiting foreign attorney for three years, after which he returned to the U.S. and joined a consulting firm where he handled securities compliance matters.
He pursued his advanced law degree in estate planning attending the highly regarded program of the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated on May 2005. After obtaining his LL.M. in Estate Planning, he settled in Los Angeles, California where he opened his own law office in June 2005.
Mr. Rayo is a member of the state bars of California, Florida, and Hawaii. He is fluent in Tagalog, conversant in the dialects of Ilocano and Visayan, and literate in Spanish.
On his spare time, Mr. Rayo enjoys playing the piano and the guitar. He also enjoys sailing, taking road trips, and learning foreign languages.
